The Design + Wellbeing project seeks to promote awareness of public health challenges and built environment solutions; convey design strategies to improve human health and wellbeing; and champion the role architects, designers, builders, communities, and other industry leaders play in the improvement of health.


Our mission is to improve human health and wellness through the design of the built environment. There is 5 goal which is safety, social connectedness, environmental quality, sensory environment, physical activity and assess to the natural system.

This time our site location will be in our college - INTI, so we will put our focus on the students, teachers, workers, and staff in INTI. I choose safety as my goal, it is about to encourage design strategies to protect people from real and perceived impediments causing anxiety, stress, psychological, and physical harm.


I will choose this goal is because students nowadays in college will be facing these kinds of problems like stress, anxiety, and other mental healthy and physical harm problem. Actually, not only students will have this problem but the lecturer as well. The lecturer has to prepare the lecture content for the classes and have to take note of many student's work, so it will make them feel stress and pressure as well.


Mental healthy can be categorized into a few types which is stress, anxiety, depression, and suicide. People who faced all these problems will have a few symptoms like lack of confidence, feel fearfulness, sadness, helplessness, and cannot sleep. When in a serious situation, they will harm themself like suicide.


Why will cause mental health issues? It is because the student is facing a different kind of stress. First, academy stress. They hope to have good grades, the deadline is around the corner, or even have many assignments. The second is social stress. they are adjusting to a new environment, do not have a friend, and do not know how to balance academics and social life. The last one will be the stress of daily life. They have a high expectation of hope from their parents, they have a harsh parenting style and they need to balance a part-time job. All this stress will make them become depressed and anxious.


This is a very serious problem because it will affect a person's life. To prevent it, we have to balance social and academic life, have social connections and do more exercise.


All in all, I hope that I can help students, teachers balancing social and academic life by reducing stress, anxiety and find happiness. At the same time, build up their confidence and overcome their fear. With no fear and stress, people can become happier.
