SITE VISIT TO CHERIE HEARTS INTERNATIONAL PRESCHOOL

We had done a site visit to a international preschool on 15 January 2020. It was an amazing site visit and I have learn a lot of things during the visit.

When I first step into the place, I saw a big playground in front of the entrance. Playground is every children's favorite and it is an important equipment that every kindergarten or preschool should have. This playground will attract many children to come over their center. Also, some of the children do not want to separate apart from their parent when they are first in the kindergarten or in the preschool. They may cry or pull their mom's shirt and try to not let them go. If there are a playground in front of them then their attention will automatically turn onto the playground, so parents can leave easily.

I also know that every children or baby who want to enter the center needs to measure body temperature before entry. They need to check whether the children is sick or not, if the children is sick so the parent have to send them back straightly. This is to prevent other children getting sick also. So they might need a place for this and the place have to near the entrance.

The next room that I visit is a infant care room. There are 12 baby in a room. When I first enter I heard some of the baby cry and at that time I know the wall need to be soundproof. If not it will disturb other people. The room also have to be clean and quite. There is a baby shower area and a changing area. There also have a baby food making area and a sink beside it. They separate the room into few area like sleeping area for baby to sleep, activities area for baby to play around and reflex mirror area for baby to learn how to walk. All of this is open space so they can take care of the baby easily and this is less dangerous because they can look at every corner of the place.

Beside, majority of the class room are located at the second floor. It is also a open space area. This area is for 3 to 4 years old children. When they are having activities, they will arrange all the table to a side and left some space in the middle. If they having class, they can move the table back. This is the advantage of an open space area because it is flexible. While there is a room for 2 years old children. They arrange the children into a room is because they are still small and annoying. They will disturbs others if putting them together. There is also a classroom on third floor. It is for 5 to 6 years old children. It is also an open space area.

Further more, I realize their toilet facility is different. The toilet bowl for children is more smaller then usual and it just only can use by children. Not just the toilet bow but also the sink as well. All of the facility is shorter and smaller which children can reach easily.

Last but not least, the furnishing that they use also need to be take note. All of the furniture need to be clean so they will choose something which is easily to clean. So some of the table will wrap on a plastic. They are not recommend using fabric because it is hard to wash. Even the paint using on the wall is allow us to wipe. I also realize all of the electrical plug and switch are install in the middle of the wall, so children can not touch that. They are also using spc flooring and this flooring can decrease the pain when children fall down. They also need a lot of storage to store their things.

So, this is all my observation and I really get to learn a lot of things during this visit.
