SDG 11 is about making the cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. The world population of people who lives in the cities area is increasing every year. If we want to accommodate everyone in the city, we need to build more modern and sustainable cities and at the same time improve the sustainable urbanization process in order to protect the environment. We need to balance the environment and the cities development so as not to jeopardize the needs of future generations.
What problem that the world is facing now? Rapid urbanization causes a lot of pressure on the environment and the communities, and it will affect future development. Human activities generate 75% of carbon emission and use 60 - 80 % of energy which will cause a lot of pollution. While on the community side, there is a lot of pressure on the lifestyle and living environment. Not only that, the number of slum dwellers is increasing due to the product price is increasing, and is hard to get a job in the urban area. Many people who live in rural areas have meager incomes, and some of them cannot access the proper infrastructure. While In the urban area, there is overburdened infrastructure and service.

There are few targets which set by the United Nation. By 2030, ensure access for all to adequate, safe, and affordable housing and basic services and upgrade slums. By 2030, reduce the adverse per capita environmental impact of cities, including by paying special attention to air quality and municipal and other waste management. By 2030, provide universal access to safe, inclusive, and accessible, green and public spaces, in particular for women and children, older persons, and persons with disabilities.
If we want to ensure sustainable development in the future in order to create sustainable cities and communities, we need to try hard to achieve all the targets. We need to think of a better way to achieve our goal and create a better future.
